Our hardy and tough friends on Neebish Island have had to deal with no ferry service since Friday 9am due to extreme ice jam at the Neebish Island Ferry Crossing just north of Rock Cut on the St. Marys River. The Coast Guard has been doing their best to get the 2'-thick ice moving again. Recent warm weather has dislodged the ice from the upstream shorelines and it has bottle-necked at the ferry crossing. Downbound freighter traffic the next day or two hopefully will help get the ice moving once
